The device recording and playback of speech on the ChipCorder chip ISD1210S

The device on the basis of chip ISD1210S ChipCorder family of companies Winbond Electronics is designed to record and high quality audio fragments up to 10 sec. It is intended, first of all, for "scoring" of home appliances and toys, but can to be used in industrial automatic voice warning schemes.

The structure of the ChipCorder chip gives the circuit shown in figure 2.

Inside the box are a microphone amplifier with automatic gain control, antialiasing and spike filters, output OSC and multi-level memory array. Each memory cell can take one of 256 values voltage. Additional analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog converters are not required.

The device has a single supply +9V (or +5V, if do not install the stabilizer 78L05, for example if the power served with a PSU of the computer), automatic transition in standby mode, 100 000 write cycles and 100 years of storage recorded messages. Overall Board size 60 x 40mm.

For device management see three buttons PLAYE, PLAYL, REC. With a single push of a button PLAYE is playing just messages, clicking PLAYL leads to the beginning of playback release - ends it. The REC button will start recording. At a time is recorded, stored and reproduced only one message. Each subsequent written on top of the old one.
