Often Amateurs are looking for the passport scheme and the inclusion of a powerful UV lamp to erase the ROM or the manufacture of circuit boards photomethod. I copied from the original of all materials on this type of lamp i.e. for inclusion in the network ~220B and recommendations for its application.

Mercury-quartz lamps are powerful sources UV radiation and are used in medicine (for the goals of physiotherapy), biology and technology for photochemical processes, luminescent analysis, etc.
Technical characteristics of the lamps
Mercury-quartz lamps are designed for operation in alternating current with voltage of 220V, 50Hz, motor-starting devices according to GOST 16809-71.

Instruction manual lamps
Before installing the lamp in the instrument recommended wipe it with cotton moistened with alcohol. During operation of the lamps in closed vehicles necessary to provide adequate ventilation.
To operate the lamp is possible only with instruments provide the starting and steady state specified in tab.3. The position of the lamp during operation - horizontal, with the deviation from horizontal in both directions at an angle of not more than 10.
Precautions when working with lamps
To protect the eye from ultra-violet radiation should wear safety goggles. To use lamps for the purposes of physical therapy under the supervision of medical staff. When using lamps for other purposes should take precautions to avoid burns from UV rays of the lamp.
Lamps, broken or burned-out life, to break in a closed volume, processing 1% solution manganese-acidic potassium, to be taken away from the village item and bury it in the ground to a depth of 0.3 m.
