American Amateur radio operator Whether Auric, W1SE proposed the original design of the five element beam using a quarter-wave elements (Fig.1). In this design, it became possible to directly connect the lower ends of the elements with the supporting yoke.

The antenna is attached to the mast in the middle of the traverse. The capacitor in a gamma matching device protects against moisture by placing it in the plastic case of the 35mm film. One output is connected to a vertical conductor gamma-Aligner at a distance of 50 mm from the beam, and the second with a Central coaxial output connector, the housing of which is electrically connected to the crosshead in the immediate vicinity of the place of attachment of the vibrator. The conductor gamma-Aligner 250 mm in length is located at a distance of 50 mm from the vibrator.
To approve W1 SE this antenna works better collinear 2x5/8 l.
