There are various electronic devices for locating hidden wiring. However, at home the need for them arises relatively rarely, when, for example, repair of an apartment or a change interior.
The location of the wiring in the wall is easy to determine with any millivoltmeter or avometra and inductors with several thousand turns of wire (high resistance winding neutral electromagnetic relay).
The section of the housing outlet, which need to find and connect the load increased power (incandescent lamp, electric stove, iron) and, adding to the millivoltmeter coil (see drawing) and slowly move it along the wall.
The greatest deflection of the instrument will indicate the location of the wiring.
