American radio Amateur Nizar Mullani, K0NM analyzed the electrical parameters of the dipole with curved 90 degree ends - bent dipole.

It turned out that 50% curved dipole has a gain of only 0.6 dB less than "classical", and 40 percent - has an impedance of about 50 Ohms. The proposed method of shortening can be useful in constructing various dipole antennas, including wave channels at low frequency ranges.
