Electric fence is designed for fencing paddocks and large pastures cattle and calves, to protect gardens, vegetable gardens, crops, haystacks from damages done by cattle and beasts, as well as to prevent ingress of livestock on highways and in ravines.

Electric fence is powered from AC mains 220 V or battery power of 6 cells A373. Its scheme is shown in the figure. In the breakdown of diacs storage capacitors are discharged on the primary winding of high voltage transformer T2. In this case, the secondary the coil is induced by a pulse of high voltage, which is supplied to the wire of an electric fence.

When powered from the battery turns on the pulse generator transistor VT1 and the transformer T1. Pulse frequency is adjustable by the variable resistor R2.
