George A. Rumyantsev (UA1DZ) was developed and successfully operated antenna, consisting of eight fairway broadband vertical radiators.

Such emitters can be used in and of themselves, and as elements of complex antennas.

Broadband vertical radiator UA1DZ gives a maximum radiation at a small angle to the horizon, when conducting long-haul communication it is equivalent to a three "the wave channel". Power to the emitter serves over a coaxial cable with a characteristic impedance of 100 Ohms. The CWS in the cable does not exceed 1.2 in the frequency band from 10 to 30 MHz.

The design of the emitter UA1DZ shown in the figure. The leaf antenna made from wire with a diameter of 2...3 mm. Insulating elements are depicted in red. The lower insulator is wound 6 m coaxial cable.

The supporting mast can be made of pipes with a diameter of 40 to 50 mm, the strut out of pipes with a diameter of 10 to 20 mm. above and below the wires forming the emitter is isolated from the mast and connected to each other in the center - connected to the mast. The upper vibrator is connected to the center conductor of the cable, the lower - to the braid.
