In the article by A. Zvirbulis "Universal probe-indicator" ("Radio", 2001, No. 10, pp. 54, 55) commented about the universal device for checking the operability different radioactive elements and control supply voltages of different designs.
Functions of this device can be extended if you provide it with the console check remotes to IR rays. This would require photodiode VD1 and two jacks (see picture) that connects to the stylus of the indicator.
If you send a defective remote control on a photodiode and submit any team, in the indicator will use to listen for the clicking and flashing led. In principle, the photodiode can be embedded in the probe indicator and switch it on, say, a button switch as needed.
