From the power supply of the personal computer can be made quite powerful pulse power supply for ham radio devices, such as CB radio amplifier power. In some cases it is cheaper to buy a used PSU from PC than ready the power supply unit on the same power (200 watts)!
Alteration is as follows:
1) power transformer (T3) rises from the ground" the output "0 ".
2) Emitted from the scheme all the elements relating to voltages +12V, -12V and-5V.
3) is Thrown matrix (2 high-power pulsed diode) connected to the terminals of 9-10 and 7-8.
4) On the radiator instead of the diode matrices is mounted bridge (VD16,VD17,VD19,VD20) from domestic diodes KDA.
5) the Required output voltage is set by the selection of resistors R31,R32,R33.

This scheme is all that remains from the power supply of the PC as a result the alteration.
By this technique was altered many power supplies used for power transmitters. Problems on the receiving side was observed.
